Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Trivela collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it. Trivela is a Premier League predictions game operated from the United Kingdom by Louis Sampson, who is the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us via the contact form on this platform.
What we collect
Your email address, used to sign you in. The profile you create: username, avatar photo, club, preferred foot and nickname. The predictions you make and the points they score. Your notification preferences and, if you enable notifications, a push token identifying your device. Any message you send us. We also collect limited technical and diagnostic information needed to operate the service.
Why we collect it
To create and maintain your account, run the game and its leaderboards, and respond when you contact us — this is necessary to provide the service you have asked for. To keep the app secure, diagnose faults and improve it, which we do on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a reliable service. To send push notifications, which we do only with your consent and which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
What we don’t do
We do not sell or rent your personal data, we do not use advertising or third-party tracking, and we do not profile you for marketing. Trivela is free and takes no payments, so we never handle card or bank details.
What other players can see
Your username, avatar and points appear on the global leaderboard, which is visible to other players and to anyone exploring the app without an account. Custom-league tables are visible only to members of that league. Nothing else about you is published. Choose a username and photo you are content to be seen publicly.
Who processes it for us
A small number of service providers process personal data on our behalf under written data-processing terms, and only on our instructions: Supabase (database, authentication and avatar storage), Resend (sign-in emails) and Expo (push notification delivery). We disclose data to no one else, except where we are required to do so by law.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and the database enforces per-user access rules so one account cannot read another’s private data. No online service can be completely secure, but we take these measures seriously and act promptly if something goes wrong.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, predictions and push tokens are deleted with it, other than anything we are required to retain for legal reasons.
Football data
Fixtures, results and player data come from the publicly available Fantasy Premier League API. Trivela is an independent game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League or any club.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, switch off notifications, and delete your account and its data at any time from Settings inside the app.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Most of these you can exercise yourself in Settings; for anything else, reach out via this platform and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Trivela is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Contact
Questions about this policy or your data: You can also reach us through the contact form in the app, under Settings → Support.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
Terms of Use
These terms form the agreement between you and Trivela and govern your use of the app. Please read them before you play — by creating an account or using Trivela, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
About Trivela
Trivela is a free Premier League predictions game. Each gameweek you make three predictions and earn points according to how unlikely each correct call was; those points count towards the global leaderboard and any custom leagues you join. There are no entry fees, no stakes, no prizes and no cash-out. Trivela is not a gambling product and does not involve betting of any kind.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old and have a valid email address. One account per person. Do not impersonate another person or create an account on someone else’s behalf.
Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since that is how you sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
Acceptable use
Treat other players with respect. Do not attempt to cheat, exploit defects, automate or script play, scrape the app, interfere with other players’ accounts, or disrupt or place undue load on the service. Usernames and avatars must not be offensive, misleading or infringing. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
Predictions and scoring
Each prediction locks at its match’s kick-off and cannot be changed after that. The points a prediction is worth are fixed at the moment you make it, and are awarded automatically once the match result is final. Football data can contain errors, corrections and late changes; where a scoring outcome requires a judgement call, our decision is final.
Intellectual property
The Trivela app and everything in it — its name, branding, design, content and scoring model — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of it.
Your licence to use Trivela
We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own private enjoyment, as intended and in accordance with these terms. No other rights are granted.
Football data
Fixtures, results and player data come from the publicly available Fantasy Premier League API. Team names and club badges belong to their respective owners. Trivela is an independent game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League or any club.
Availability and changes
Trivela is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features at any time. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that football data and scoring will always be accurate or timely.
Our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or any matter outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or misuses the app, and we may discontinue the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice in the app where we can.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you in the app before material changes take effect; continuing to use Trivela afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
